Studio 1.4 is a photography studio located in San Diego and Berkeley, CA.

Studio 1.4 is different because we really want to create something you like and care about. Most photographers shoot the way they prefer, while we pay attention to what matters to you.

Whether it’s lighting, composition, body posture, angles, facial expressions, color, contrast, or Photoshop retouching, we aspire to satisfy your personal taste.

Reservations must be made in advance (see calendar).

Named after the widest aperture, Studio 1.4 draws on traditional techniques seen in works by Richard Avedon, Penn, Leibovitz, Schoeller, and Timothy Greenfield-Sanders and newer, sartorial styles featured on Instagram.

We hope to make each portrait session a unique and engaging experience.
